I thought I would include a picture of the barn so any followers of the blog who hadn't been here would be able to see the heart and soul of Missed Skeet Farm. I have been working on the water supply system and am close to having it ready for testing. I am using black well pipe to deliver water to and from the toxic waste barrels that serve as our storage tanks. It is cheap and the fittings our cheap and it moves a lot of water. It is however less than ideal. In a normal house there is only on junction of black pipe inside the house. There is a reason for this. They have great potential to leak and any sane plumber switches to something else as soon as the pipe is inside the house. We do not have a pressure tank. The water is gravity fed, so larger pipe is needed to get sufficient water to the hose bibs that pass as our faucets. They also move more water than a faucet would. The well pipe fits the bill. The down side is the joints have a tendency to spring leaks if they are disturbed. If you put enough elbows and T's in it almost guarentees a leak. Tomorrow I will go to Home Depot buy the last pieces of the puzzle and fire up the system. It could be real interesting. I can hardly wait. I will take before and after pictures of myself and the water system. Eventually, the water system will make our lives much easier. Tomorrow-- I have some reservations.
I seem to have peaked out at two blog followers.
